The Medical Education Common Entrance Examination for Bachelor Level Programs (MECEE-BL) is a standardized medical entrance exam conducted in Nepal for students aspiring to pursue careers in health sciences. This exam serves as the gateway for admission to various undergraduate medical and health-related programs, including MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BASLP, B.Perfusion Technology, BAMS, BNS, BSc MLT, BSc MIT, B.Pharm, B.Optometry, BPT, and BPH.
Administered by the Medical Education Commission (MEC), MECEE-BL is open to both Nepali and international students seeking admission to different universities, affiliated colleges, and academies across Nepal.
Over the years, the Medical Education Commission has tested different formats for MECEE-BL. While a single examination was conducted for all programs in some years, the system has now been revised to five separate exams held on consecutive days. The exam format ensures that questions remain the same within each category, and the merit lists for these five groups are published separately. Candidates can select programs based on their respective clusters, which are categorized as follows:
